Our Vision

Our vision is to improve educational, social, and emotional outcomes of children in urban schools by preparing culturally competent, effective career teachers who accelerate student achievement by closing the academic achievement gap and provide teachers with the tools they need to support students in urban communities and creating equitable learning environments where all students can be successful.

The Mission of Community Alliance Group is to develop and support a diverse network of new educators to help restore communities and public education. We envision a future in which all students in urban schools are able to thrive and be successful educationally, socially and emotionally.

WHAT
WE
DO

1. Equipping Educators

We equip future educators to work in urban schools/communities. Our future educators will become efficient by receiving training on instructional practices, disaggregating data, using informed data to drive instruction, preparing an effective lesson plan aligned with the district's curriculum.

2. Coalition Builders

By building relationships with communities in which urban schools reside, we will develop a partnership with community members and leaders by involving community stakeholders in conversations on how to best serve the students academically. Community Alliance Group is also committed to educating parents on how to support their scholars.

TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM

DEVELOPING ETHICAL & HIGHLY COMPOTENT PROFESSIONALS

Our Teacher Education Program develops ethical and highly competent professionals who will support the community through their advocacy, teaching, research and service. We are committed in connecting with a community of change makers and coalition builders.

WHAT WE OFFER

CAG is an accelerated teacher education program that offers training to novice educational practitioners equipping them with the tools they need to be successful in urban schools and communities.

Praxis Prep

We will offer Praxis seminars; therefore, our practioners will graduate being certified.

Practicum

Practicum opportunities that is designed to give students supervised practical application of a previously or concurrently studied field or theory.

Get Hired

We participate in hiring fairs around the city and we will make sure you are equipped with the skills to get hired.

Mentoring

We offer ongoing Coaching & Mentoring to our Corps member.
